Bought this vac at Walmart 6 years ago for use in my garage. I had some concerns over durability when I purchased it. I kept thinking there was no way it would last but I have definitely got return on investment with it.
I have done major home revisions and in all of them this vac was used for cleaning up excessive amounts of dry wall, tile and wood dust. I rebuilt 15 X 12 X 10 foot wall in my living room, put down 700 feet of wood flooring, building a custom queen size Murphy bed frame, routered trim out of oak planks for a 10 X 10 room, cut tile for 100 sq feet of floor and countertop. Most recently I sucked three or four cups of dirt out of the under ground piping connected to my down spout and vacuumed drywall dust left during construction of a 15 x 15 room.
Two problems with this product....
1) The filter it comes with is crap. If you intend to push its limits you will need to buy one or two of the high quality washable cartridge filters and throw out the crappy filter it is packaged with.
2) Its suction is not that strong so you could never use it as a replacement to your standard in-home vacuum. Consider what your expectation for the product are before you buy it. If you use it like I have used it, you are sucking up huge chunks of dirt and if using it in your house you will run the in home vac after the 'big' dirt piles have been removed by this vac. If I was using a standard in home vac for projects mentioed above I would be dealing with clogged filters, dumping the dirt reservoir or replacing bags constantly.
I noticed multiple reviews state they had problems within a month or two. This makes me think I was incrediably lucky with my purchase. If you don't get a lemon when you buy this vac, it will work and if your experience is anything like mine it will exceed your expectations.
